Flood Control Tunnels

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Flood Control Tunnels

Somewhere around Sandhill and Charleston, are flood tunnels where residents have reported hearing whispering voices. The voices are thought to be attributed to a couple that died in a motorcycle accident before the tunnels were built.

  1. Awhile back a friend and I made it through the fence and went about halfway into the tunnel and set up an audio recorder. We asked basic questions such as “is anyone there?” “what is your name?” etc.. So after I asked a question we went back and listened to it, and heard a very faint “hey”, followed by a low pitched moan. That was the only evidence we had gotten in an hour and a half investigation.
