Firkins House

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Firkins House

The Firkins House is believed to be haunted by three apparitions. The first is a woman in a white dress who has been seen floating on the staircase. The second is a ventriloquist doll who moves around by itself and has been known to make strange noises. The third apparition is a young boy, who appears to be ill. He has been seen playing with a red ball in various parts of the house.

  1. On August 6, 2015 I took my granddaughters to the fort and when we had walked into the house we walked straight to the back and I noticed that chain on the left side of the hallway at the back was bouncing very hard. No one was in the house at the time so I walked to see it and I looked on the left side but that was chained and no one in site. I tried to stop the chain it took a while then I wanted to see if it would do it again once I stopped it and it did. at that moment people were starting to enter the house and it calmed down. Interesting!

  2. correction: No one was in the house at the time so I walked to see it and I looked on the right side at the end of the hall way, across from the chain on my left that was bouncing. But that area was closed off and no one in site.
