Guests staying in the inn have reported a bossy spirit known as Cora, the wife of a former inn keeper. She has been seen wandering through various parts of the old building, and taps and people around in a disapproving manner. The shadowy apparition of a man has been seen floating around the corridors of the building is believed to be a former inn keeper, the husband of Cora, and is known to staff as John. The third ghost has mainly been seen in Room #48, and is known as Herschel. He appears to staff as a glowing apparition, and is known to mess up rooms and to rearrange furniture and the luggage of guests. Visitors have also seen Herschel sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch of Deerfield Inn.
