Featured on TV’s Ghost Adventures, the 1827 building that houses the Cosmopolitan is said to be haunted. It was originally built by Juan Lorenzo Bandini, his young daughter died in the home, and her bed and rocking chair remain in the house. The chair has been known to rock by itself, and a witness reported hearing the unexplained sound of a child crying. Other rumors and mysteries surround the place as well.

  1. Me and my friend stayed here in room #10 (the Arcadia room) and witnessed a lady in a white victorian dress floating in the center of our room in the early hours on a Sunday morning.

Room 4/5 is haunted by a lady of the night and her cat. I had a very personal encounter with the ghost during my writing retreat. On an earlier occasion (and unknown to me at the time) Bonnie Vent, a pyschic medium, spoke of her as wearing a red dress, matching hat and tall lace boots.
