According to old tales, two young sisters went missing nearby. The belief it that they may have fallen into a defunct well or mine shaft. Although their bodies were never found, they each have a tombstone in the cemetery. Folks have spotted the two ghost girls playing in front of the cemetery early in the morning.

  1. It was sometime between 1989 and 1991 when I lived on nearby Webb road when I had my experience. It was about 1am, coming home from a concert with my Buddy, it was pretty foggy…we turned onto Chute Road, and there in the headlights, were two little girls just standing there on the side of the road by the cemetery. I slowed down, but then they were just gone, just like that. I turned to my friend, and asked “you saw that right!” He said “2 kids.” It really freaked us out!
