Central City Opera House

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Central City Opera House

This historic opera house was the first in town, and is haunted by at least three ghosts. These include a former doorman, an actor who drank himself to death and a long dead female patron. Staff claim to occasionally smell alcohol and cigar smoke when no one is around, and various instances of poltergeist activity have been reported.

  1. I used to work in Central City as security in several casinos. Many non belivers come to Central City, but few go away that way! The area is ripe with ghosts!

  2. A couple years ago I brought my daughter Jessica to Central City and we went on a tour of the Opera House. It was beautiful. They did not allow anyone on the stage. I took a few pictures and I noticed that there was a man on the left part of the stage. you have to make the picture big to see it, but when you do you can see him!
