  1. There is something occurring. I lived with a roommate in the apartment at the top of the stairs. There is a sound of something very loud occurring, a racket, at the stairwell that would occur around midnight. There are footsteps that occur with no animal or person making the noise. This would happen during the day when I slept in my bed. There are sometimes things that suddenly fall from a shelf that could possibly just be coincidence or the slant of the building, though, the building did not seem to slant. There was a sound of laughter of a child or some child-like sound that did not move through the rooms. When coming to the closet where it stopped, nothing was there. Don’t know why this occurs. I’ve not ever been in any other place where this had occurred before so I don’t know what could possibly cause it. Possibly a scientific matter.

  2. There was a well publicized murder in the Apartment parking lot in 1967 of a local organized crime figure involving the Dixie Mafia.

  3. Anonymous Former Tenant  |

Jayne Mansfield was renting at the Cabana Courtyards in 1967 when she died in a horrific car accident with one of her dogs and two men, one being her boyfriend and attorney on Highway 90. Her attorney boyfriend had beat up Jayne Mansfield’s oldest daughter and her daughter had filed a police report. It is rumoured that Jayne Mansfield was a Satan worshipper with dealings with Anton Levey. Possibly something metal and satanic got left behind when she died. Check the attic spaces, who knows.

  4. Definitely haunted. Would be a great place to study paranormal activity. Consistent experiences over the years told by different people at different times. There has been murders there and a famous person used to stay there. It took months before the “thing” started to haunt me. Started with silly things like stuff getting hit off the shelf then became more scary till I had to move. Very scary right before I left.
