The 1802 building was originally an inn, but turned into a private residence in 1839. In 1966 the inn was reopened, but is now under refurbishment, reported to be under new ownership as of 2013. It is said to be haunted by former resident Mrs. John Stacy, who wears a white gown and appears in the first floor dining room. She was an active Women’s Christian Temperance Union member and has been active since the inn obtained a liquor license. She appears to bartenders and throws napkins and silverware.

    1. I have sat a few times outside Park Theater waiting to see a movie only to feel some one watching me from above. That feeling coming from the direction of the second floor window of the Bulls Head Inn. One evening I looked up and swore I saw a face draw back quickly from the window. It was a time when the building was not in use and was closed down so I know no one should be up there. No one of the living side of life that is.

    2. THE STORY DOWN THROUGH THE FAMILY HAS BEEN, THE GHOST IS THE DAUGHTER OF ONE OF THE OWNERS, SHE DIED IN THE FIRST FIRE OF THE HOME, SITTING UPSTAIRS IN A ROCKING CHAIR, TO SCARED TO MOVE AND WHEN SHE DID GET TO THE DOOR IT WAS LOCKED AND SHE COULD NOT OPEN IT. IT IS SAID THAT SHE IS STILL LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT. THE LOG HOUSE BURN AGAIN AND LAMBERT LAWYER BUILT AN INN.

    3. I went there once for New Years. Went upstairs to use the bathroom it was seriously so cold I could see my breath. Looked around no windows open figured ok an old building. Went to the bathroom turned on the faucet sooooo cold i jerked my hands out. Waited tried again still cold. But knew I had to finish washing my hands 3rd time suddenly warm. Not just the water but the air was warm. I had just been shivering & suddenly it was warm. Walked up the whole upstairs was warm. Creepiest thing ever.

I was there with my Haunted Hudson Valley group , as we entered the front entrance I saw from the corner of my eye a woman with long brown hair on the stairs . When I turned to look directly at her , she had disappeared . It’s a wonderful place, Everyone there is friendly , the food is excellent .

    5. My family and i were alone in the 2nd floor dining room when a cabinet door swung open by itself. Then as my son was talking to her (the ghost) i flicked the lightswitch and scared the living sh!t out of everyone.

    6. I was part of a paranormal investigation here during 2011. We captured a ton of EVP’s, heard actual voices in my ear, had a fork thrown near me, and saw a full body apparition (unknowingly) while setting up for the investigation. We used the flash light which turned on and off in direct response to our questions. It was an amazing investigation.
