Billy's Bar and Grill Restaurant

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  Billy's Bar and Grill Restaurant

If you’re looking for the most sinister place to eat in town, look no further then this macabre bar and grill. Formerly the union building for sailors arriving from the nearby port, this restaurant was the scene of many murders by a bartender, who befriended weary sailors before shooting them and pushing their bodies into the river running adjacent to wear the building now stands. In the main dining room, patrons and staff claim to have seen the bartender standing behind the bar with a cold expression on his face, but when approached, he vanishes suddenly. Other reports indicated shot glasses with minds of their own, ghostly voices, cold spots and the apparition of a bedraggled sailor. On the upper floor, the apparitions of prostitutes have been seen, which suggests the building also served as the town bordello.

My daughter and I have both seen a evil looking man upstairs in the front in the window closest to rite aid. He was staring out the window observing everything he had a bluish glowing tint to him. He had a roundish face with a square jaw, his hair was dark bowl cut look kinda straggly. Had small eyes that was close together thin lips. Clothes that he was wearing a cream colored button down shirt with 3/4 sleeves and had on dark slacks that appeared to be high waters.

  2. Tim is absolutely correct. The building is the Crowther-Wooding Building, built in 1904. It was occupied predominantly by the Red Cross Pharmacy.
Billy Gohl was the SUP agent for Aberdeen. His office was above the Pioneer Saloon, which was near the corner of F and Heron on the bank of the Wishkah river. Probably near where the Breakwater seafood restaurant sits today. The saloon and the old SUP union office no longer exist. Maybe Billy’s ghost moved down the street to the Crowther-Wooding building.

  3. My friend works here. She has felt icy, and like someone was right by her at times. A patron witnessed a wine bottle being picked up, hit a waitress in the head, then put back.
