Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery (Bethel Assembly of God) dates back to the mid-1800s. Sources say it has a separate are for criminals and one for children. Witnesses have reported ghostly voices, lights, shadow people, and evil growls from the surrounding forest. What’s more, legend has it that the cemetery is home to a monster with the body of a lion, the head of a dog, and red glowing eyes.

I have been here a number of times, in my experiences i have had my car battery drain , red eyes follow me and even gum ball (pine tree balls) fly at me. My last time there i drove a 2013 car there because i didnt believe anything would drain a battery however the car died and we met almost face to face a want seemed like a child.

  2. My team Frontline Paranormal Research out of Memphis,TN is in the works of getting permission to investigate this place soon. I’m really excited to hear claims like this! Makes for a really exciting investigation

    • Where were you able to find contact information to gain permission? We are potentially interested in using the location for an indie film. 🙂

  3. My boyfriend and I went out there and parked in the graveyard behind the building and we saw a figure from all the way across the graveyard that was hard to make out but seemed to be getting closer and closer to us. Also took multiple pictures and one of them showed an orb covering most of the picture, so it was right outside our window (which was down……creepy!)

  4. I’ve been here several times, and it never fails to amaze me. I’ve been called to, heard laughter, and my friends have seen several figures. If you’re looking for somewhere to investigate, this would be perfect, but sadly it isn’t open to the public after a certain time and the cops WILL stop and run you off if they see you. Found that out the hard way.

  5. Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian – Bethel Assembly of God , I really seriously hear that the old place is haunted . See I have a lot of experiences of demons and ghost sight’s . My grandmothers house that was in Frayser,TN . It was so haunted . You see things during the daytime and hear them at night in the attic and in the house talking and moving things around the rooms and hear things moved on the floors . That never did bother me at all. At this day , Things like that just don’t bother me ,, But I would love to go into the church and experience it my self .. I do live in the Covington area . But they call me DEE for short ..

  6. I was wondering after reading the comments on here as to how some friends of mine and myself gather permission to investigate the cemetery. We are all really big into ghosts and the paranormal and would like further evidence into the matter.

  7. I was walking with my kids during the daytime, and my 5 year old daughter asked me “why are they saying, ‘no’?” Skeptical, I ask her who. She responded “they stopped talking.”

  8. Me and my boyfriend where there for 3 hours from a little after midnight to 3am. Nothing happened except some of the pictures of this one tree with 3 headstones in front of it turned out black on a few different occasions even though we had the flash on. Nothing else. It wasnt scary. And an Atoka police officer did come but said we could go look
    anyway 🙂

  9. Me and my 2 friends have been there three or four times, the most recent being on September 17th, 2016. we saw a figure inside the back of the church and we saw the blinds move plenty of times and while we were there on the 17th, we saw a black figure dart through the woods at the far end of the cemetery. I filmed the entire time on the 17th but I never got the shadow figure on camera. Every time we went, there was the occasional scream but we thought it was coming from the houses down the road. When we went the first time in early August, we picked up an EMF reading of about 50, and the second and third trips we picked up an EMF of 45-78 depending on where we were in the cemetery.

    • What’s up. What do you mean by this. I’ve lived in atika forever and never even heard of this . Now I hear of hell hounds and such. What’s going on.
