Baldwin-Wallace College’s Kohler Hall, built in the 1870s as a Methodist Children’s Home, is said to be home to a spirit that manifests as a blue haze. Something reportedly presses down on students in bed and throws off their blankets. And Lang Hall is allegedly haunted by namesake Emma Lang, whose apparition walks in the halls, rattling her keys. Her portrait hange in the lobby over the mantel. It’s also said to be haunted by the screams of a student who committed suicide in her closet.

  1. The German Methodist Orpan Asylum was located where the current BONDS admin building is off of Eastland Rd. It also was on University St. We live on University St and often see a girl in our back yard dressed in white. This apparition is visible in the winter at 1:00 AM. We are tying to get pictures.

  2. I saw Emma Lang doing summersaults down the fourth-floor hallway in lang hall. It was the craziest experience of my life. I had heard stories before I moved in but nothing like this. Was she part of the olympic team from the 1920’s because this girl can flip?
