Local folk say that the 1908 historic bed and breakfast is haunted by the ghost of Edith Ruhl, the wife of the doctor who built the original mansion. The inn is believed to have closed down.

I ABSOLUTELY have a story about this house.. I went inside around 1985.. while it was unoccupied. I witnessed the presence of the ghost in the uppermost story, which at that time was more like a small attic bedroom. I am getting the chills right now just thinking about it. My boyfriend, eventually husband, were looking at the garage apt rental in the back of the house. The proprietor asked if we wanted to see the big house. What we saw cannot truly be described. The stairs had a system of small stones on them that were placed so as to keep the ghost from coming down from the attic. There was NO DUST on any of the old antique furniture.. we slowly made our way to the attic… it was a HOT July day with of course no air conditioning on since the house was vacant. When the attic door was opened we received an amazingly blast of freezing air..! Of course we tried to be brave, but we hightailed it out of there. I went back years later when I made a visit back to Oklahoma and heard that it was now a hotel. The owner opened the door and she had the creepiest surprised look on her face. She looked stunned. There was no reason for her to have any kind of reaction to my presence. I asked her if I could come in and see the inn…and possibly make a reservation… she immediately said NO and shut the door in my face.
I just accidentally came across this site tonight.. for some reason just stumbled across this page. If something is happening there this week… somebody let me know
