Aquinas College’s early-1900s Holmdene Manor was originally built by Edward Lowe and his wife Susan. It’s believed to be haunted by one of their children. The little boy allegedly drowned on the premises, and his ghost is said to turn on the lights after security turns them off and locks the buildings. The ghost also turns on water faucets.

  1. Students argue back and forth about seeing a face in the Holmdene windows, when taking photos of the campus for a school project there was little to no activity near the building that could be described as paranormal. The college is heavily draped in catholic doctrine and teachings leaving it hard to imagine that a spirit could wander the halls of any building for very long. If it was once haunted it does not seem that anything is actually there now.
