Anna Maria College is believed to be haunted, but the college has somewhat of an affinity for its ghosts. At the Zecco Performing Arts Center, according to resports, two seats are kept open at each performance for ghostly visitors.

  1. I graduated AMC in 2000. I was told the name of the ghost in Zecco is Theresa. She was shot by someone and when a performance requires a prop gun that gun will never work in the theater but will work outdoors. There were stories all over campus from the pregnant nun that killed herself in the dorms to the workers that got killed in a cavein while making the tunnel from the dorms to the music building. I must say that the basement in the music building is pretty creepy and there is evidence of the unfinished tunnel.

  2. I am a current student at AMC. They stories are true. There is a statue in Zecco that cannot moved or defaced. This is because Theresa has a connection to this statue. 2 years ago, they statue was moved before a musical. The sound, and lights did not work opening night, and that same night, a girl passed out on stage.

  3. I graduated from this school in 1991 and I NEVER heard this! I was a music major and it wouldn’t surprise – might explain why I was creeped out to be alone in the music building practicing. Interesting.
