Abbeville Opera House

Abbeville Opera House is believed to be haunted by the spirit of a woman. Her apparition has been seen applauding in the balcony, wearing a period dress. Now, the theater keeps the seat open for her, should she ever want to return. The lady is believed to be an actress who became ill on a train ride and died in town. Apparitions have been seen on the stage, and legend at the theater has it that if anyone touches her seat, something will happen during the play. Witnesses have described strange noises, footsteps on the catwalk or a bit of movement in the corner of their eye.
