The historic jail building now serves as the county museum, and dates back to the civil war era. The third floor of the jailhouse is believed to be the most haunted, as the worst prisoners were housed here. Staff claim to have run into a friendly African American prisoner named Earl on the upper floor, while others have heard ghostly footsteps.
